PRESS RELEASE:At 3:18 a.m. Sunday, April 5, officers were called to 1210 Independence Avenue to investigate a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a man dead in an upstairs apartment. The man appeared to have been shot to death, and no one else was in the apartment.
The victim in this homicide has been identified as 27-year-old William E. Harmon, of Kansas City, Mo. There is no one in custody, and anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
